Bachelor or Master Theses
We are always looking for talented and motivated students: If you are interested in a BSc, MSc or other research project, please arrange a visit to our lab. (send email). You must comply with the requirements of their home faculty, and it is advisable to discuss the proposed topic with their study programme guarantor in advance.
PhD and Postdoctoral Positions
There are many organizations and funding agencies that offer scholarships and fellowships to support PhD and postdoctoral research. Candidates who are able to secure, or at least partially obtain, external funding for their salary are very welcome to join our laboratory. We are happy to support strong applicants in preparing their fellowship or grant proposals.
Leonardo da Vinci Programme
The Leonardo da Vinci Programme offers international students the opportunity to gain professional experience through internships abroad. Students interested in joining our laboratory can apply via their home university’s international office or through the official programme coordinator. Once selected, they will receive guidance, training, and support from our research team throughout their internship.
Previous successful stays under my supervising:
Encarnasion Lopez Maseda (3 months, started in 2013. Spain). Ecotoxicological tests (seeds germination) and experiments testing the degradation of organic compounds. Participate on project COST TD1107 and KONTAKT LH11048.
Ignacio Manuel Rodriguez Valseca (3 months, started in 2013. Spain). Protein extraction and purification and heavy metal determination by AAS. Participate on project COST TD1107.
Lisa Qin (3 months, started in 2018. UK). Possibilities of phytosorption and phytoextraction of REE from contaminated water and soil by plants. Participate on project COST LTC17046.
